How our links work

Every affiliate link on the site points to our own /go/ redirect rather than straight to a tracking URL, and each is marked so search engines treat it as sponsored. When you follow one, you land on the provider's site and their normal pricing applies. We disclose the affiliate relationship right next to the buttons, not just here.

Why it never changes a verdict

Our rankings are decided before money enters the picture, on the factors that matter for gaming: protocol overhead, server spread, split tunnelling, device counts and track record. A higher commission does not buy a better placement. If the honest pick for you is the cheapest option, or a provider we earn less from, that is what we will say.

The clearest proof is that we regularly recommend Mullvad and Windscribe, which run no affiliate program at all — we earn nothing when you choose them. We include them because they are genuinely good, and their presence is a standing reminder that our advice is not for sale.
